How to tell if your dog is overheated
Posted on Jun 3rd, 2019
Summer here in Florida is hot! We humans can usually tell if we've been outside too long, but what about our dogs? How do we know if they are comfortable or overheating?
Here are some key signs that your pet is overheating:
heavy panting; dry or pale gums; increased drooling; deep and rapid breathing.
Here are some tips to help keep your pet safe from overheating:
Try not to overexert your dog on hot days; make sure he has a shady spot where he can rest; keep lots of drinking water handy in case your dog shows any signs of overheating.
Keep your vet's number in your phone just in case.
AND NEVER EVER leave your dog in the car!
